an- PAGE EIGHT THE HANFORD MORNING JOURNAL THURSDAY, JANUARY 1915. RECLAMATION SUBJECT OF MEASURES PROPOSE TO ENLARGE BOUNDARIES OF SACRAMENTO AND SAN JOAQUIN DISTRICTSPROVIDE FOR UNIT BOND ISSUANCE SACRAMENTO, Jan. 27. Bills will be introduced by Senator Benson and Assemblyman Wright to enlarge the boundaries of the Sacramento and San Joaquin drainage district, to include the estire Tulare lake district of 500,000 acres, the Stockton-Calaveras district, and also a section of land in the district at Cache creek. The object of the measure, made at the request of State Engineer McClure and the people of the new districts, is to make it possible for the State Reclamation board to handle the problems of flood control in the territory concerned.

The land now supervised by the State Reclamation board is 1,750,000 acres, so that the additional territory will enlarge the entire district to approximately 2,350,000 acres. Issuance of Bonds Another bill designed to increase the value of the powers of the Reclamation board will provide for the issuance of bonds on behalf of any given unit of the district under its control when reclamation work is necessary. To facilitate the advancement of the Sutter basin project two bills are to be introduced, one that will have the effect of transferring the routine functions of the Sutter county supervisors as regards reclamation steps to the state board and another to throw the Sutter basin district into a larger district to Inelude the territery from the Marysville buttes south as well as several districts west of the Sacramento river. For River Improvement To insure continuance of the rivere improvement at the mouth of the Sacramento river, a bill appropriating $140.000 will he introduced. Although it is hoped that congress will provide federal support :8 in the past, heretofore similar appropriations for this work have been made contingent upon equal amount, Fraternal News Royal Neighbors to Banquet At one of the most pleasant meetings of Olive Branch Camp No.

Nearly everybody suffers, from rheumatism, backache, sides and back, kidney and bladder ailments. A backache may not mean anything serious, but it certainly does not mean anything good. It's better to be on the safe side and take Foley Kidney Pills to strengthen and invigorate the kidneys and help them their work.
