The Home of Iietter Pictures presiding, the twentieth annual Sunday School convention of Kings coun-j ty was held at the MHhod'st church i tn this city yesterday, beginning atj two oclock. There was a splendid representation from the various Sun- day schools of the county and much interest was shown.

The session opened with a fifteen minutes song service led by Rev. Frank Stuart Ford of the First Christian Church. Following this the assemblage was addressed by Rev. J. B.

Travis who used as his topic, "The Worship Period, and bringing forth many interesting points as to the work of the Sunday school which was particularly beneficient to the teachers. C. L. Crumley on "The Church and the Young People" and S. O.

Welday on The Sunday School suppliment Louis Vinere, who was arrested Contable W. B. Dalby Deputy Charles Lewellyn on yesterday morning on a charge of disturbing the peace, preferred by his wife of two months, appeared in the court of Judge George H. Waite shortly after noon. According to the story told by the wife, Vinere in trying to persuade her to write a check in his favor, became somewhat rough and choked her.

That the choking was somewhat severe was evidenced by the finger marks upon the complaining witness throat.
